William Shatner is one of 100s of millions of people worldwide suffering from tinnitus.
There is no cure or effective treatment. Therefore, a group of sufferers got together and founded Tinnitus Quest. Our mission is simple: to fund research for treatments with the potential to silence tinnitus. We are currently fundraising for our first round of research grants.
- 1-2% of the population suffers from chronic, disabling tinnitus
- ~$200,000 raised by Tinnitus Quest in only nine months
- $1M pledged by high-net-worth person
- ~80% will be spent directly on research

In July 2024, Sven Köllmann, a German entrepreneur and tinnitus sufferer, frustrated with the lack of funding for and direction in tinnitus research, decided to take matters into his own hands. He brought together a group of tinnitus patients and top researchers and formed Tinnitus Quest. Unlike other tinnitus organizations, we are led by tinnitus sufferers and solely focused on discovering treatments that could silence tinnitus.
